From an Intern to her Mentor

From an Intern to her Mentor

Akshaya interned with Bhumi in the PR and Communications at Bhumi, specializing in the area of Design. This short, yet fruitful internship she believes, has brought a change in her in just 1 month. Below is her note of gratitude to her manager Jamal.

“At the very outset, I’d like to thank you for taking the time out and mentoring us. In the first-ever task about listing down our internship objectives, I had written about how I wanted to expand my knowledge and learning in the field of digital multimedia software. Now that we have to come to the end of our SRP, I think it is safe to say that, a lot of learning happened in that field that I’d take forward in any project or assignment I am expected to do in the future.

Technically, I learnt about the Adobe Creative Suite, tips and tricks in all the software, Adobe Typekit, Adobe colour, Adobe media encoder, premiere pro, photoshop, illustrator and about a mobile application called Adobe capture. Other than that, there were several discourses that encouraged us to learn skill sets such as email-writing, calendar management, goal setting, executing tasks, professional etiquette, requirement gathering from a client, etc.

In conclusion, I’d like to extend my gratitude to you for being kind and patient with us through this learning curve. We pushed our limits and came out of our comfort zone. I created memories, filled my calendar with some productivity (finally).”
