Bhumi, One of India’s largest youth volunteering organisations is asking the youth of India to volunteer during Daan Utsav (a.k.a. Joy of Giving Week).
We are looking for volunteers between October 2-8
You can Do selfish by participating in per-planned events around your city (e.g. tree plantation drives , clean-ups, etc.), organise your own event or even spend time at an orphanage/ old age home with your bunch of friends. Remember, no act is too small or too selfish. To join hands and celebrate this festival, we have three major events planned across the nation. We are expecting volunteers fro 40 cities across India to participate.
> October 2: Swachh Bharat – The cleanup / tree plantation activity can be inside your locality/college, or a public area nearby
> October 5 : Blood donation pledge – Two crore people are expected to take the pledge via SMS or an application
> October 8 : Seva Sandwich – A simple activity for empathy-building that leads to insightful conversations with the receivers
>October 8 : Reading Activity – A wonderful reading activity where every person reads a story to a child and also motivates the child to read it
