Project in Bhumi: Catalyse
Tell us a little about yourself!
I am working in MediaAgility. Recently graduated from Amity University, Noida. I love managing Events. My journey with Bhumi started around two years back. I feel that Bhumi has provided me a platform to do something to the society.
How did volunteering with Bhumi happen? (Including beginning, which project you volunteered for)?
I came to know about Bhumi while searching about NGOs in 2013 when I was in Lucknow; I contacted, but came to know Bhumi is not operational in Lucknow. When I moved to Noida for my college, where one of my senior introduced me to Bhumi. My journey started then in September 2015 at the time of Daan Utsav in Catalyse Project.
What change did these experiences bring in your life? How has Bhumi altered you, personally?
Joining Bhumi brought different changes. As we believe change is always two ways, I got platform to enhance my capabilities and skills, as well as to impact different sections of the society.
One most memorable incident in your life as a Bhumian:
As Bhumian, each moment is memorable whether it’s with fellow volunteers or kids.
Tell us about one Bhumian, who has been an inspiration
To point one person, will not be appropriate. All the bhumi volunteers in themselves is a source of inspiration, their action is always a motivation.
Any specific, special moment with kids or volunteers you would like to share with us?
We organised ‘Diya Decoration and Distribution’ activity ahead of Diwali 2017, the happiness of people to whom we distributed these was one of the special moment for me.
A message to every volunteer at Bhumi:
Bhumi is a platform where you impact not only others but yourself too. Utilise this platform to impact as many as possible.
