22 Sep Run For Bhumi – Airtel Delhi Half Marathon 2015
Winter is coming, so is the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon!
Every year thousands of people participate in marathons. Some run for fun, some for fitness, and others for causes close to their hearts. This year let’s run for the future of India – for the education of underprivileged and destitute children at Bhumi. The Airtel Delhi Half Marathon will be held on Sunday, November 29, 2015. And like last year, Bhumi is one of the charity partners of this event.
Last year, you contributed and helped raise nearly Rs. 2 lakhs, which has been towards the holistic development of around 800 under-privileged children in Delhi NCR, Jaipur and Kolkata. This was made possible only because of you.
This year we need your support to expand our volunteering activities to 30 shelter homes in this region, reaching out to 1,500 destitute children. We estimate the additional cost of delivering Ignite, our supplementary educational programme, to be around Rs. 5 lakhs. We realise the importance of providing the mentorship to these kids, which is why we need your support to take our project to the next level.
How you can help:
- Individual donors can contribute online to support education of underprivileged children.
- You can Run for Education, supporting Bhumi’s Ignite programme: Run Registration Link
- If you’re a company, get branded as “Corporate Cares” this year by fielding a team of 40, 25 or 10 employees as part of a group run and contributing Rs. 3.5 lakhs, Rs. 2.5 lakhs, Rs. 1.25 lakhs, respectively.
