Job Designation         : Associate, Partnerships

Location                       : Chennai/Flexible

Job Nature                   : Contractual – Full Time

The candidate will be responsible for primarily implementing an education scholarship project and support the corporate social responsibility objectives of a corporate partner of the same project. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Scholarships: Liaise with location admins/employee volunteers to promote scholarship programme, ensure high adoption, employee involvement in the programme. Verify, approve applications and ensure timely disbursal of scholarships
  • Promote and Manage Volunteering: Plan and promote events to engage employees and raise awareness of CSR programs. Manage volunteers, community partners and interns when applicable. End to end vendor management. Establish and execute on volunteer opportunities for employees to engage in CSR activities.  Manage and promote the volunteer tool and other digital experience tools to ensure employees are leveraging CSR systems
  • Communicate: Be pro-active in liaising, developing trust and professional rapport with NGOs, Volunteers, Community partners, CSR consultancies and ensure a plan to design, implement new CSR activities. Develop strategies and materials for the communication of CSR initiatives to all internal and external audiences, ensuring overall messaging consistency across business units and throughout corporate communications of partner corporate (company intranet, corporate website, and digital channels). Prepare frequent presentations and updates to management on CSR activities
  • Take the lead: Evaluate CSR initiatives, impact, resource requirement and cost/benefit of new programs against industry standards, analyze results and develop action plans to ensure our partner corporate has the best in class CSR program. Drive planning and budgeting for comprehensive programs aligned with overall business strategy and deliver on plan
  • Collaborate: Partner with internal business units to enhance and expand programs, metrics, and communications
  • Reporting: Implement CSR programs, e.g. Site visits, research, drafting of findings, analysis and reports. Measuring, impact analysis and reporting on CSR projects

Preferred Education Qualification / Experience:

  • Any Post graduate; Having an MBA/ MSW would be an advantage
  • At least one year of relevant work experience
  • Prior experience with non-profit organisation / field work is desirable

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – Verbal & written
  • Good computer skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint – essential
  • Proactive, Self-Monitored, Resourceful, Accountable
  • Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people: NGOs, Volunteers, Community partners and Peers; work as a team-player
  • Be able to adjust quickly and smoothly to changing priorities and conditions
  • Have strong analytical skills; be able to interpret data, identify trends, and make suggestions for improvements.
  • Good attention to details
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem solving and Decision-making skills are essential
  • Willingness to travel extensively – Nationally

Other Information:

  • Reporting to: Bhumi’s Co-founder and CSR Lead of partner corporate
  • Remuneration – Rs.3.6-4.2L per annum
  • Expected Joining Date: Immediate
