Job Title : Programme Associate (Environment, Catalyse)

Location : Chennai

Job nature : Permanent Full-time

We are transforming India through volunteering, and we want to make volunteering a national habit. We are looking for someone passionate about promoting a strong culture of volunteerism and civic responsibility among citizens towards the environment, especially corporate employees, youth and children.

The Associate will be responsible for ensuring efficient and smooth functioning of all environment initiatives nationally including Think Green, Eco-Champs etc, . The Associate will have overall strategic and operational responsibilities for the programme including identifying volunteering opportunities, teacher training and execution of activities towards the Environment. 


Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations including, volunteer mobilization, delivery, reporting of the programme
  • Oversee development and execution of environmental education curriculum, teacher training in schools
  • Partnering with corporates, colleges and similar organizations to identify, manage and execute various volunteering opportunities.

Preferred Education Qualification / Experience:

  • At least one year’s experience in project management and leading teams is preferable
  • Prior experience working with curriculum or teacher training is preferable
  • Prior experience in the non-profit sector would be an advantage
  • Prior volunteering experience is mandatory
  • Any Graduate 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to drive outcome oriented plans through the team’s collective effort
  • Good influencing skills , people engagement, networking and listening skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills– English
  • Good verbal communication skills – Tamil, Hindi would be advantageous
  • Good computer knowledge and MS office skills 
  • Highly resourceful team-player, who is self-driven
  • Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
  • Willingness to travel – locally and nationally

Other Information:

  • Reporting to: Programme Manager (Catalyse)
  • Designation: Associate to Manager based on candidate’s profile
  • Expected Age: Below 35
  • Scope: Full time, Willing to work flexible hours
  • Remuneration: Rs.3-4 lakhs per annum, negotiable based on candidate’s profile
  • Expected Joining Date: Immediate
