Description: Programme Design Consultant, Bhumi Fellowship

nature: Contractual (3-6 months)
The Bhumi Fellowship is designed to bring in smart young people to
transform the Indian schooling system. Through this two-year journey, we aim to
positively impact the lives of one million children over the next decade.
This professional programme will develop the youth into change facilitators
who enable government and other low-income schools to function better as an
eco-system. The fellows will focus on professional development of teachers,
leadership development of school leaders and whole school transformation.
The person will be responsible for the overall design of the
fellowship programme including its structure, people development, processes,
and the school’s transformational journey map.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Work in partnership with other teams,
peers, and external stakeholders to conceptualize, design tools and frameworks for
scoping, monitoring and evaluating the fellowship program (including the
journeys of the school, the managers and the fellows)
- Conceptualise processes,
capacity building programs for fellows to develop their leadership skills etc
- Design the structures that will create
a supportive ecosystem for Fellows and programme staff, enabling them to be
successful in their roles
- To be ready to change and work towards
creating new strategies; anticipating its impact, fall-out and uncertainties
- Contributes
to broader fellowship priorities such as fellow recruitment and selection
Preferred Education Qualification /
Experience:
- Experience in Design and Systems
Thinking. Has worked in creating processes for a large set of people
- Experienced
in using problem solving and assessment tools
- Experienced
in using collaborative games for learning and teaching
- Ability
to convert abstract ideas and concepts into concrete curriculum framework and
content with attention to stakeholder’s training and development needs
- Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD/M.Phil in any
discipline, preferably Journalism, Education, Liberal Arts and
Economics/Commerce or Human Resources. Graduates with requisite
skills/experience may apply.
- Between 5-8
years’ experience in a leadership position similar to the job profile
- Experience in managing/designing a fellowship
would be an advantage
Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to mentor and work on
individuals’ development
- Expertise in facilitating
training/workshops
- Good understanding of the pedagogical
aspects involved in teaching children. Good people engagement, networking and
listening skills
- Clarity on the different curriculums
being used in India
- Ability to drive outcome-oriented
plans through the team’s collective effort
- Good written and verbal communication
skills in English and Tamil
- Humble with the emotional maturity to
empathize with the perspectives/needs of team members
- Highly resourceful team-player, who is
also self-driven
- Forward looking thinker, who actively
seeks opportunities and proposes solutions

- Scope: Full time
- Remuneration: CTC 45,000-55,000 p.m. negotiable based on the candidate
