The Vision: Make volunteering a national habit

The Goal: To mobilise 50,000 people from 2,000 colleges and corporates to volunteer by May 2020. 

The Team: Campus Catalysts, Bhumi’s ambassadors to promote and drive volunteerism in his/her organisation (college/corporate), form the core of the team. National Coordinators, City Champions and City Anchors form the supporting team at the National and city levels.

Campus Catalyst

  • Be Bhumi’s ambassador in his/her organisation (college/corporate) and passionately promote volunteerism and social causes
  • Strategise, promote & organise volunteering events and campaigns in the organisation
  • Motivate and mobilise peers to volunteer for civic initiatives and be agents of social change
  • Coordinate workshops, awareness spaces and build partnership with other social welfare events on campus
  • Work with the organisation/institution to set up a Bhumi club in-campus to enable long-term sustainable impact

Expectations:

  • Prior experience in volunteering and volunteer mobilising preferable
  • Strong relationship and network among peers and officials
  • Leadership skills to influence and mobilise peers to volunteer
  • Commitment: Till June 2020

City Anchor

  • Be the face of Bhumi’s team in colleges and corporates for officials, students and Campus Catalysts
  • Plan outreach strategies to identify and engage with new colleges and corporates to drive the vision through Campus Catalysts
  • Build relationships with college officials and Campus catalysts towards ensuring consistent, impactful volunteering activity in the college
  • Manage, mentor and train Campus Catalysts in aspects they need support in
  • Support Campus catalysts in aspects including logistics, operations, PR and fundraising

Expectations:

  • Willingness and time to travel extensively to colleges and corporates to build relationships, engage with officials, Campus Catalysts, corporates and students
  • Previous experience in leading team/clubs/forums preferable
  • Leadership skills including strong communication, team building and stakeholder engagement
  • Previous experience in volunteering/volunteer mobilisation is desirable
  • Commitment: 6-12 months (Unpaid part-time with time availability to visit colleges and corporates)

City Champion

  • Design execution, reach out, communication and operational plan towards the goals for the city and drive it along with City Anchors and Campus Catalysts
  • Manage, mentor and support City Anchors towards college/corporate engagement, stakeholder management, mobilising and empowering Campus Catalysts
  • Identify and engage with external partners, corporates, college officials and students to help us accelerate the reach and impact of Catalyse team

Expectations:

  • Prior experience in leading entire project(s) end-to-end and lead team/clubs/forums of significant importance preferable
  • Strong leadership skills including project management, managing team and stakeholder engagement
  • Commitment: 6-12 months (Part-time)

National Coordinator

  • Set the vision and broader goals for the year including for key campaigns such as Daan Utsav, National Volunteering Week & CarniVol
  • Design and execute reach out, communication and operational plan and drive it along with the City Champions and Anchors
  • Create a strong support ecosystem for City champions and Anchors including outreach support, technical support, mentoring and training
  • Identify and engage with external partners including college clubs, government officials and other NGOs to help us accelerate the reach and impact

Expectations:

  • Prior experience in leading entire project(s) end-to-end and lead team/clubs/forums of significant importance for a minimum of 6 months prefarable
  • Strong leadership skills including project management, managing team and stakeholder engagement
  • Passion for volunteering and mobilising volunteers
  • Commitment: 6-12 months (Paid Full-time/Unpaid Part-time)
