The Programme Manager is responsible for coaching, managing and developing the team of project associates to ensure efficient and smooth functioning of all community centres. He/she will have to work closely with the content and training, HR, Operations and other teams. Click here to read more about Bhumi’s Ignite Community programme.

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Build a strong culture of ownership towards impactful project delivery among associates, tutors, parents and children.
  • Build structures, systems and metrics to support the execution of the programme in the best way possible.
  • Provide support to the associates to envision the goals for their centres and the required guidance to meet the same.
  • Continuously monitor the effectiveness of the project and engage the stakeholders proactively
  • Track, Follow up and report on the timely implementation of the goals for the project.
  • Ensure seamless coordination among the teams for effective functioning of the centres
  • Train the associates in handholding and supporting tutors in engaging with the community
  • Should be able to groom and manage the team towards effective delivery of the programme.

 

Preferred Education Qualification / Experience:

  • Minimum two years experience in managing a team
  • Minimum one year experience of having worked in or with a community directly preferred
  • Teaching experience can be helpful
  • Project coordination experience preferred
  • Any Graduate or Post Graduate preferred

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to drive outcome oriented plans through the team’s collective effort
  • Good influencing skills , people engagement, networking and listening skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Tamil.
  • Emotional maturity to empathize with the perspectives/needs of team members
  • Good computer knowledge and MS office skills
  • Highly resourceful team-player, who is self-driven
  • Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions

 

Other Information:

  • Scope: Full time
  • Remuneration: Rs.3,60,000 – Rs. 4,20,000 per annum
  • Expected Joining Date: March 2017
  • Location: Chennai
  • Minimum commitment: Two Years
