India has made tremendous progress in the last few years. More children are enrolled in education today than ever before. Yet, there is little improvement in the learning abilities of children, living in disadvantaged communities.
Part of the reason is the lack of qualified teachers and school leaders, inadequate infrastructure, and dated lesson plans.
Through Ignite – our supplementary program for underprivileged children, we strive to provide a safe, and conducive environment to ensure that students can access the opportunities they need to succeed in school and life.
Humanity is faced with critical challenges that need to be addressed immediately. Our problems affect every corner of the planet and every species that live on it.
Through citizen-led initiatives, we address social issues that plague communities throughout India. With the aim to raise awareness about responsible citizenship, we foster civic change. We promote volunteerism through various initiatives in alignment with our vision – Every Indian Volunteering.
The Bhumi fellowship is a two-year, teaching programme for youth committed to improving the quality of education in India through whole-school transformation. The fellows also undertake education projects in schools and communities to build their entrepreneurial acumen to become education changemakers in the long run.
