Bhumi – a family to cherish

I got introduced to Bhumi by my friend Hitesh and started volunteering through RTE campaigns which sparked my interest in Civic initiatives. A couple of us were regular volunteers and actively participated in all bhumi events. We were then assigned as coordinators for various civic initiatives. Our team was like a family. The journey has been indeed beautiful.

Making a Difference with Bhumi

Bhumi has given me the platform to realize ideas and lead missions to make society a better place. I am more confident now and time-management skills have improved considerably. I have now got a good network of selfless people, very happy for it. Many campaigns needed me to speak to public and create awareness of various causes,  am grateful to Bhumi for those opportunities !

Relieving Nostalgia

The May 2017 RTE campaign was an unforgettable moment and a big boost in life. It gave me the confidence to speak to people as a volunteer. Walking through slums and speaking to them about education instilled in me an impetus to work harder for their alleviation and connect the deserving people to benefit from government schemes.

And through Eco-champs, I felt nostalgic bringing memories of my schooling days! There are some government schools and some very remote. Hats-off to all those teachers who genuinely mould the students to be a good and successful human.

Catalysing Social Impact

I am currently working in the catalyse programme that includes Eco-Champs ideated in Feb’18  Empowering Children to build a sustainable future focusing on environmental effects overflowing plastics, waste and pollution. The Season 1 of Eco champs was launched in June 2018, though the project has seen a lot of challenges it eventually paved the way for successes. After the overwhelming response of our first season, Plans for Season 2 of academic year 2019-20 launch is underway.

Need of the hour

All through my journey every project has been unique and every individual activity has altered at least one life. I believe and consider it as a big achievement. Earth currently needs more compassionate volunteers and less narcissistic individuals. Spend more time for society without expectations and you will get more happiness and friends in return.
