Tell us a little about yourself!
I am a happy mom, and a volunteer at Bhumi trying to achieve perfection in what I do. I am a big foodie too!
How did volunteering with Bhumi happen? (Including beginning, which project you volunteered for)?
Associated with Bhumi since 2010, I started my journey with Lakshya (mentoring) team. Now I am continuing as an ELDP participant and a volunteer with Think Green project.
What change did these experiences bring in your life? How has Bhumi altered you, personally?
Working with Lakshya Team gave me a lot of insights on social issues, a platform to experiment and work, and meet like-minded people.
I realised how important it is for us to contribute in being the change we wish see in this world. Now with ELDP, I have taken the role of a leader, improving myself while contributing to the society.
One most memorable incident in your life as a Bhumian:
I have been a volunteer with Bhumi for a long time. And even during the inactive period, I was in touch with friend from Bhumi. 7 years – Lots of kids, lots of volunteers, Lots of friends, lots of happiness … Why trickle down to one incident when the entire time spent at Bhumi is memorable!
Tell us about one Bhumian, who has been an inspiration
Every volunteer who is committed in bringing about a change is my inspiration. And you can find a lot of such committed volunteers at Bhumi.
Any specific, special moment with kids or volunteers you would like to share with us?
The time when our Lakshya Team got together for lunch after weekend sessions and weekend trip to Tada! It was total fun. I love the connectivity with my fellow volunteers-friends at Bhumi. That one trip will always be in my heart.
A message to every volunteer at Bhumi:
One of the greatest gifts you can give others is your time! Happy Volunteering! You can do much more than what you think, you can do!
